February 19, 2005 Grandview Medical Staff Celebration – A Huge Success!!

An evening of tribute and honor for our departed and honorary physicians and a welcoming for our newest members of the medical staff.

All enjoyed the camaraderie of those who joined us to celebrate our dedicated medical staff, the growth and achievements of Grandview Hospital, graduate medical education and our rich osteopathic tradition and history.

Over 200 physicians, Leadership team, and friends of Grandview attended this elegant event at the Dayton Art Institute, which exceeded all expectations. Thanks to the generosity and support from donors, the Foundation’s event supported its mission to enhance the graduate medical education program that many students across the country aspire to be part of – and, over $28,000 was raised.

Congratulations was in order to Dr. Frank George, Dr. Mark Jeffries, Dr. Ed Kinkopf, Dr. Charles Zeller, Jennifer Horvath and all those at the Academy for a successful 10th Family Practice Review and Reunion. The Foundation appreciated sharing the evening with the well-attended conference.

After mingling and reminiscing at the reception held in the Great Hall with a display of photographs of honorees, attendees enjoyed dinner. Dr. Pugar and Roy Chew welcomed new physicians to Grandview’s Medical Staff, and acknowledged and presented personally engraved clocks to retiring (honorary) physicians:

Dr. Wayne Abbott
(from Colorado!)

Dr. John Alway
(from Las Vegas!)

Dr. Art Bok

Dr. S. A. Gabriel

Dr. Frank W. George

Dr. James Weiss

And for his dedicated years of service,
(and relocated)

Dr. Thomas Mucci

And for family members of departed physicians who gave so much of their time and dedication to Grandview, personally engraved clocks were also presented to:

Dr. Robert Berger)

Mrs. Linda Sill
(widow of the late
Dr. James Sill)

Mrs. Diana Steinecker
