Grandview Foundation and hospital administrators had a wonderful time reconnecting with Grandview physicians and alumni (those physicians who did a portion, or all, of their internship and
residency training at Grandview) at the American Osteopathic Association Unified Convention in San Francisco in October. Grandview exhibited an informational booth in the display hall, focusing
on the growth of the hospital and the quality accolades achieved over recent years. Several hundred physicians stopped by to reminisce, as well as express interest in recruiting opportunities at
Grandview.
Many milestones were celebrated during the conference, including the election of Dr. Brent Bamberger and Dr. Ken Pugar to presidents of their respective colleges (orthopedics and neurology/psychiatry),
the presentation of the Orel F. Martin Medal to Dr. Alison Clarey (for exemplary service and achievement in surgery), and the elevation of Dr. Kevin Reid to a fellow in the American College of
Osteopathic Internists. During the convention, a wonderful buffet at the Ritz Carlton, hosted by Grandview President Richard Haas, and Dr. David Bruce was held to honor Dr. Clarey - and an alumni reunion
was hosted by the Foundation.
