In 1999, the Franciscan Foundation introduced a new element to Eagle Seekers – the Gerard B. Chadwick Award in
honor and memory of Gerard Chadwick. Gerry was a man who exemplified the Franciscan and Adventist mission of
providing a healthier community for all through his many contributions to the Eagle Seekers Classic. Each year,
this award is given to an individual or organization who portrays the willingness to help others, as exhibited
by Gerry during his life. The 2004 Gerard B. Chadwick Award was presented to Frank Coffman. Frank, as a senior
executive with The Standard Register Company, spent over seven years providing his leadership to the Eagle
Seekers Classic. During that time over $1 million was raised by the event. In addition, Frank was a lifelong
friend and business associate of Gerry Chadwick, Sr.
