Foundation History

The Grandview Foundation was created in 1999 when Grandview Medical Center and Southview Hospital became part of the Kettering Medical Center Network. The Foundation raises funds and awards grants to support advanced Osteopathic medical graduate training at Grandview and Southview Hospitals, ensuring the continued practice of the Osteopathic approach to medicine.

The Foundation also supports programs that promote health care and wellness education to those in the community who are in need. The Grandview Foundation is a major contributor to the Victor J. Cassano, Sr., Health Center, Southview Hospital’s Women’s Services Center, and the Grandview Adult In-patient Psychiatric Center.

The Grandview Foundation is operated by a staff of professional administrators: Kelly Fackel, Vice President for Development, Janie Ferrell, Development Associate and Teresa Easter, Business Manager. The governing body of the Foundation is the Board of Trustees, made up of seventeen community leaders and physicians and lead by Chairman Kenneth B. Pugar, DO.
